header bolts

header bolts

hi guys..1st post on this site so ile start with an easy one for ya all :)

ive got tubular headers on my rangie classic but getting to the last couple of bolts at the back is a right pain so is there a company that does cap head bolts (allan type) to fit the heads..looks a kinda course thread so dont even know the form or pitch of them

Take a sample down to the local engineers suppliers tell him what you want ,I think mine cost 15 pence each .

They are 3/8 UNC thread. A ball ended Allen key and cap screws is the way to go.

Or, the Chevy mini-hex stainless exhaust manifold screws are available from Real Steel, and exactly the same size as Rover. You can get an 8mm or 5/16" ring spanner in to them, in case you don't have room for an Allen key.
