Who Uses Lucas Oil ????

Post by Coops »

Just asking as thinking about contacting Lucas Oil regarding a group buy,
As i use to get mine from allan @ v8tuning, but not been able to get hold of him for over a month now  ,
Where does every one else get theres from??? :?:
my local motor factor has offered to get it, but they have to buy a box of 4 which costs about £100 i think, works out at about £25 a can, i think thats the price i have to pay, i will ask if they can do it cheaper if enough are interested.

I'm using Motul oil, and did in my last RV8 too....

Always hear good reporst about Millers.

This article popped up recently over on Turbo Minis. Makes interesting reading about some modern oils.

Who knows, maybe its partly why RV8 camshafts die early deaths !!!!

I 'm running Valvoline Turbo V 15W40 in quite everything overhere. I'd tried several brands but always came back to Valvoline.
I won't say that Valvoline is the best cause maby it aint, but it definetly does what it supose to do. It gives a good lubrication and decent oilpressure for a long time.

Have to say that even Real Steel is recomending it.

Some people are saying thats all the same where it came from but by my experiance I don't agree with that.

hi tony,

well i was going that way with the lucas oil,but with the delivery problems with it.i went then to millers oil.i had to get two 5 litre cans to make it worth while getting, still £50 .so i wont need any till end of 2007 or early 2008.

If you could get a discount with using the forum members then i would go with that for the next time i need any oil.

We stock a Castrol 20/50 here at work in a nice classic looking tin which is supposed to be good.

Tony, i have a bottle of lucas stuff here at home. I used a small amount of it to top up once but its nearly full if you want it?
