I've read mixed opinions on running Predator carbs but thought I'd give it a shot anyway. I'm putting a pair of rebuilt Predators on the tunnel ram, one with an idle circuit and the other without. One of the Vizzard? books (the "how to obtain more horsepower" series") reckons it is a good combo ..... we shall see.
It's a SBC stroked 383, now out to 60 over (Gulp!!), forged crank, pistons, ally heads, stud girdle, 4 bolt mains etc etc. Guessimated at 500 HP or thereabouts. Fresh rebuild on the engine so will need running in.
Car weighs booger all ......
They are as ugly as sin but do look rather good on top of the 'ram as they look verrrrryyyyy different ... got a pair of Edelbrock 500's if the predators are a pain, but thought it may be worth a crack.
Anyone else had any experience with them??

Many years ago I ran a single Predator on a Ford 289, I remember
playing with the fuel curve a little, but it worked extremely well
straight out of the box. Its basically the secondaries out of a
quadra-jet...
I don't know how well it'll work with 2 of them, you're looking
at over 1800cfm of carbs...
