Piston ring thicknesses - 3.9/4.2l

Post by mk1storm »

Can anyone tell me what the thicknesses are of the standard piston rings used in the 3.9/4.2l engines? ie 94.04mm bore???

Looking to use these with my omega 93.5mm pistons and adjust the gap accordingly but need to be sure the ring thicknesses are correct before i get them. My current ones are 2.0, 2.0, 4.0mm.

Another dimension to check would be the width of the ring, Not the thickness, I have seen bores and pistons ruined by fitting rings that are too wide to fit the piston ring groove root dia, and do not give enough clearance when the engine warms up.
