I'll echo what everybody else said: three full strokes of the throttle pedal before starting, to wet the intakes, and it fires up so quick it scares the neighbours cat. I then have to tease and ease it along for a minute, with the throttle, in cold weather, before it will idle happily.

I tried to set mine up so that it was the leanest shot possible whilst not allowing the motor to stumble. It the sort of adjustment you are best making on a nice summers day whilst out for a drive, just try all three holes, was an excuse for a drive in my Cob replica! (As there are only three holes there isn't much choice anyway! You could then start messing about with the jet but I never bothered!)

I bet you can guess where mine ended up being set to....the middle hole!
