with borrowed ecu power to fuel pump relay

Weird? I'm thinking about that.

connected live straight to fuel pump and its dead,

Is the other side of the pump earthed OK?

Also wire from coil is 12v up to resistor still nothing coming out for ecu signal.

Check the spade connectors are not corroded

How can it go from running sweet to having knackered pump , resistor

Have you actually confirmed that the resistor is open circuit using an ohmmeter?

and ecu???

The resistor was connected when car stopped running , The car has not run since, We tried removing resistor but this did not help so we put it back in (although it does not let any volts through so is broke?) Next problem was no power to fuel pump relay a borrowed ecu sorted that? (CUX ecu mine is just CU or vice versa both 3.9) Also it seems fuel pump is dead.

I think Saturday i will put a test light on fuel pump wires and see if swapping ecu , relays etc makes any difference but seem to be going round in circles

Like i said im hoping its a case of dead pump and a mate who did electrical tests wrong lol even i can't be unlucky enough to blow 3 seperate components!!!

EDIT: tested voltage before resistor 12Volts then other side or resistor 0Volts manual says battery voltage both sides

So not the same type ECU - hmmnn!

Also it seems fuel pump is dead.

Only if you connect 12 volts and earth to both sides and it wont run

Not at all likely.

Ramon asks if it is OC or 6800 ohms

Will do Saturday

Done that fuel pump does nothing

Cheers for the help
