Early timing cover on a late engine?

This maybe a strange question but before i strip it down and try, can an SD1 timing cover and front pulley be fitted to a late 4.0 or 4.6 short engine?

Guess what im doing tomorrow!!

Paul,

The answer is yes but you will need a spacer to go on the nose of the crank, they are available from RPI.
