Janspeed 4 ida weber manifolds?

Hi Guys, anyone shed any light on these, a mate of mine is doing one for a friend and is a bit confused to how he can get all the bolts to in to hold the carbs down, any help or even better photos much appreciated, john

LOL, i'd given up on a reply on this, in the meanwhile he tells me it's the manifold to head bolts he's having problems with !! u wouldn't have a picture that includes how u got them in? thanks, john

I never put them in but I did have to take them off! The studs that screw into the heads are too long to unscrew the nut off of all the way before they foul the tube part of the actual inlet manifold, as you can see here:

To remove I had to unscrew all the nuts a bit, pull the manifold off the head to make more room, then unscrew them all a bit more, and repeat until I could actually remove them. Refitting is the reverse of removal as they say.

I hope this make sense - if I have the wrong end of the stick let me know and I'll do what I can to help :)

Cheers mate, thats not like the manifold he has .... well i don't think !! some further investigation has revealed a similar method to what u describe to get it on and off ! thanks john
