I had 2 sets of 38mm butterfly cbr 600 jobbies.
I had problems getting going with them but only because of my lack of experiance, they're now in a 4.5 chimera (its a rather hot engine with stage 5 this and mega cam etc built by v8 dev) and they're helping to deliver a rather nice 312bhp. (I may be getting them back for my merlin head'd 4.6)
I chose the 38mm ones with the theory that their smaller size would give good performance accross the rev range rather than huge ones that focus more on top end.

The above is a thread on the ms forums with details of alot of different bodies.

My old setup.

I used the GSXR 750 throttle bodies on my 2.3 litre RS2000 16 valve engine, they are individual and so can be spaced to suit your needs and have 42mm throttle plates. Get the early ones without the computer driven second butterfly to save on hassel, I ran Emerald management and got 201bhp/180lbsft on Dave Walkers rolling road, it had enough low down torque for a daily driver and gave well over 30mpg on a run.

Sorry to bring up an old thread.
I realise this my be a stupid question to those in the know, but i'm just doing research for my winter 08 project on my TVR and as yet i've not stripped down my V8 in any amount to answer this question......
On the welded manifolds with the throttle bodies on, theres 6 take offs, 4 for the throttle bodies, what are the remaining two for? Water flow between the heads?
Thanks
Matt
