Acid stripping

Can anyboby help me find a company to acid dip my SD1 engine in the Sheffiled/ Chesterfield area ????

Afraid not, but I'll have a sniff around. I'm in Sheffield myself, know a cheap polisher/plater/welder and a few other good services in the area but not an acid stripper. I'll ask a friend who may know and post in a day or two if I have any luck.

Is this the same cleaning process the Real Steel do?

I had my grubby old block done and it came up a treat. It wasnt shiny, but it was very clean. They charge a set amount (about 25 quid) for one dose of cleaner in their cleaning machine. I soaked mine in parafin for a weekend then jet washed it. I took it down to them and I'm well happy with the result.

I think Real Steel use an alkhali cleaning process. They also use glass beads. I used then to clean up my buick heads a while back and they came back very nice.
