Oh Bugger !
I joined the two halves of my bonnet up today and dropped it onto the body.............................Air cleaner is in the way.
Ive got one of the tiny triangular Edelbrok cleaners so I cant do much with that. Ive got the 5 degree plate fitted but if I remove that the accelerator mexhanism's going to foul.
The main problem is that the central hinge on the bonnet drops down. Now I can take half an inch off of that, but thats all.
Any ideas, gentlemen?

You may have to resort to a filter with a dropped base. There is a MR Gasket 14" x 2" with a 1 1/2" dropped base that we have to use on the MGB.
What vehicle is it? A useful trick is to get some Bluetack or plastercine and put a spike of it on the tightest position of the filter and lower the bonnet gently, and when it compresses you can see how much clearance you have left.
Alternatively there are some mini plenums K+N which can be used with a remote filter, but not cheap.
Kevin.

I reckon you might just get away with a 14" low rider with a 2" filter on that.
Where do you live Chorlton? I have a spare brand new 14" setup that may fit. I'll be happy to post it to you to try out. If it does the job you can have it for less than the shop price. If it dont fit just post it back to me.
