Smaller chokes will push the air speed up and should provide better driveability at the expense of top-end power, however its not as simple as that as carbs are very dependent on whats happening downstream.

I'd recommend trying the new rams but sort out the mixture first you can come back a point to 12.5-12.5 AFR and you'll pick up power.
