Amazing how we bugger about trying to get 300BHP, and here's a motor that will deliver it all day!

I suspect it has a couple of turbos already, the MG engine bay may need extending a little (despite the mgc having a truck engine in it) and maybe a teensey power bulge for the rocker cover to fit in?
still like that red, does it have a code number or name (apart from red! )

I also think the MG would just collapse at the front with the weight of a 9.1 litre diesel over the axle...!

Collour is actualy Coca Cola red... Transmision is a DAF AStronic twelf speed.
Engine has a huge single turbo configuration.
Had my first drive today and have to say it drives better than my Capri.....
It drives like an old fasion US car. Cruising all day long but if you'll need some power, just hit the throtlle and the torque comes in.
Have to remember all the time that I am still supose to deliver some goods
All the torque is there between 1000 and 1500 rpm ( doing 55mph & 1500 rpm ) when using the kickdown the engine revs to 2000 rpm.
When empty the transmision doesn't use/select all the twelf gears and then it goes like stink...............

I only told my boss today................it drives very well

Ah yes, but I bet it will struggle to get past 60/70

(So not unlike a B series MGB then)

Crazy question

What consumption does something like that do and do they give a rating of grammes of CO2 per km / mile?

The monkeys in power here keep shouting on pollution and such - I'd like to see how many cars = a new truck!

Lovely piece of kit

About fuel consumtion ehhhhh... have to find out yet should be something like 2,5 mile/ liter. My old one did 1,75 mile per liter.
Have to remember this combinatoin weights about 14000 kilogram when empty and 34000 kilogram when fully loaded.

About emision, its got the latest emision standard "Euro 5" rating with exhaust filter and AdBlue.

And as all trucks its electronicly restricted at 55 mph.
Without the restriction it easely runs 75 mph@ 2400rpm ( My old truck did this when I had an electronic failure ) but the penaltys are very expencive.
