I've just bort a swb Patrol with a worked 350 chev in it( i have no details of how worked tho) and its running a 750 vacumm sec holley on it. I've never worked on holleys b4 so can any1 tell me how to set it up as its sounds like its runnin a b it rich. I c there is a screw on each side, is this an idle mix screw? Or best get it 2 a rolling road for jet changing?
I personally reckon a 750 is 2 big unless its a well worked engine, maybe a 600 wud be better. Its just the holley is brand new. The engine was in a sprint car b4, all he did was change the cam but by the way it ticks over its either a bit rich or cammy. There is no black smoke at all but seams heavy on petrol.

750 holly
holly do an on-line site which sets out all specs for engine size to carb use.if 4 barrel vacum secondries(back two barrels do not open when you flick the throt lever ,with filter off so you can watch)then set up needs to be done rolling road.the back two barrels only open under load.
Are you using the Patrol off-road? It might be worth looking at the Truck Avenger line... 470 or 670 CFM.

I will be usin it 4 work and off road at weekends, i will be rippin the lpg kit off my 351 powered patrol im currently using and putting that on. Mainly used on gas but want petrol as well as doin a big trip up north next year.
Will try it on gas on the 750 and c how it goes as engine will only draw what gas it needs and can be adjusted by turn of a screw apposed to changin jets. Just nice to have a brand new carb with no wear.
