In search of Boxer air filters

Post by Rik75rrc »

Hello,
I could use some help in finding air filters. I am putting an old Boxer quad su carb manifold on my classic. The manifold came with airfilters but I would like to replace the filter elements because the existing ones are cracked. Does anybody know where to buy those filters or can help me in the right direction.
The sizes are 280mm x 120x 100high. 11 inch x 4.75 x 4.
Thank you very much

Hello,

unfortunately I don't have any information about the air filter.

The topic of the Boxer 4x SU is super interesting though. I have one installed on my Morgan.

Looks great Frank,
Thats a cool car. I want that look also for my range rover. Everybody runs edelbrock/holley but I like the british su look.
This is where I am at.

Hello,

In my opinion, it's a big mistake to install an Edelbrock/Holley 4-barrel carburetor like that. It might be halfway decent for cars with large engines that are always driven hard. But for everyday driving, there's nothing better than the SU.

The engine doesn't look standard. I see tubular exhaust manifolds.

And of course, it's left-hand drive. Are you on the continent?

Give ITB or Ramair etc a call, or Green, K&N, even if they don't list something obvious, they might be able to help.
