Thor TPS with 14CUX

Post by Oldhens »

Morning,

I’d like to swap the “bespoke” throttle body (bodged 3.9 TB, cut from 3.9 plenum) on my Rover V8 single plenum setup to something off the shelf.

I’m looking at a Thor TB but it uses a different TPS, does anyone know if I can get the Thor TPS to work with my 14CUX ECU?

Don't see why not, presuming the Thor TPS is just potentiometer as per the earlier type then the output would be between "just over 0v" to "just under 5v".
Only issue I'd see is if the closed throttle output was too high as there is an upper limit for the minimum voltage (0.078v rings a bell, I can check this if you need it). There may be a similar thing at the upper end but this shouldn't cause a problem but may not register WOT.

Do you already have the Thor TB? is so you could measure the resistance and compare to your existing or you could wire up to your system and see what readings you get using Rovergauge.
