Finally swapped the ailing BW35 automatic for a rebuilt LT77. Fitted a lightened flywheel while I was at it.

After a year of fun, the gearbox seized. My mechanic had a peek inside. Carnage. His diagnosis is that the oil pump had never worked since the box was rebuilt and sold to me with a warranty, and had survived on splash oiling alone.

It came from a company called TM Transmissions in the Midlands, who seem to have since ceased trading. Hey ho.
