I have a Rover V8 engine and I would dearly love to know when it was made and the comp ratio so that I know whether to turbo it, blow it or blow the heads off, the engine no is 11A30136. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks, newbie

Your engine was originally fitted to an SD1 with an auto box. The compression ratio was 9.35 : 1

The CR should be stamped near to the engine number
