E34 540 6speed box

Sorry for the late reply, but if it helps in your search E34's only came in 5 speed.

If you are looking for a 6 speeder V8 box you will need to be looking at E39 535i / 540i / M5 Box.

Maybe worth giving a guy here in N.Ireland a shout, he quite often has these boxes.

ISTR seeing an E34 V8 tourer with a 6 speed box at auction many moons ago. Could be wrong, though. It stuck in my mind as I thought it unusual at that time.

E34's only came in 5 speed

According to Wikipedia the 540 and M5 E34 also came with 6 speeders.

Don't know if the bellhousings are the same.

Might be cheaper to buy a car for £4K then sell off the bits you don't need:

I can't see a rough E34 540 with 6 speed fetching much. But most were autos, so would take some finding. Same really applies to an E39.

The big problem is Massive miles on them.

I picked up a semi dismantled E39 Factory 6 speed manual (fairly Rare) for £1800 with 80k miles.

There is a full conversion on Donedeal.ie at the moment.

if you consider the euro is around 70p at the moment thats a pretty cheap setup

I would buy it but its a 5hour drive and I've no need for more spares!!
