P6 V8 points / condensor

Post by JC. »

where's the best place to get a new set of points and a condensor for my V8 dizzy?

Are halfrauds likely to do them? I suspect not somehow... :/
Thoughts?

I've always gone to my local land rover parts dealer or motor factors, allparts should do them if you can them in your local area, never had the patience to go through all of halfrauds shelves and look like a muppet going out empty handed :?

I could be wrong but the points/condensor set-up is near enough identical between the P6 and Range Rover. Range Rovers used the old set-up long after the SD1 had the electronic kit fitted so should be an off the shelf item, just take the old points in with you so that you get the right ones.

I bought one set from a local motor factors and had to drill the mounting hole out a little to accept the bigger screw that held it down, then it fitted fine.
