Think the answer is that there is more than one type - depending on the injection fitted.

Is it basically the hotwire one on the back of the plenum?

Have you tried cleaning your old one or is it too far gone? i was looking for a new one then went down this route and it work for me. On the web there are several articles on how to do this that I followed and it was easy. Some time ago I posted a reply to a stepper motor question that covered cleaning - must be over a year ago now.

Have just bought a new OEM stepper from Clive Wheatley for £76.00. It seems the right price to pay for a correct stepper, better than the prices charged from many suppliers. May be worth giving him a call...
