Aston Roller Filler Cap

Post by v8250 »

With the MGB V8 project I'm wanting to have one little bit of BLING on the car; that of a correct Aston Roller Filler Cap. This for sheer aesthetics...and to assist the 52/48 front-rear 'balance'; they're a whopping 1.2kg in weight...

...but here's the dilemma, I need one with an unvented lockable inner filler as the car's on injection. CBS have this one but it's vented. I may be able to find an unvented lockable filler of similar dimension and modify the inner filler neck area. But it would be great to find one/a kit off the shelf.

Have any of you guys seen one readily available?? Any pointers/help greatly received.

Than you,
Andrew

Ok guys, should any of you with injection engines ever want the proper 3.5" Aston roller filler I've found the answer. Car Builder Solutions [and I'm sure others too..] have the following components to do the job...

3.5" Aston Roller Filler Cap [ AST35R] @ £222.00
3.5" BSP Aston Filler Neck [ASTNECK] this reduces to 51mm filler tube @ £6.00
51mm/2" Unvented Lockable inner filler cap [LOCKINUV] @ £30.00

Total £348.00 incl VAT

The reason for the roller type over the snap fit is that the snap fit is a pretty crude closure. The roller is just that, gives a great roller closure.
