How much fuel pressure?

Post by mgbloke »

Just wondered what is normal for fuel injection pressure at the rail. Mine has been set to nearly 70psi which seems high. I have had a lot of running problems.

Cheers

Common is 3 to 3.5 bar no vac attached.

70psi would be higher than most people would use.

I assume you have an adjustable reg ?

Depending on the style of injectors being used you got to be careful running those kind of pressures as it also interferes with the inj opening & closing op 8) a very strong possibility this could be your running woes :? whats the motor/spec?

Thanks,
Its 4.8L, Merlin heads, mechanical 238cam 10.8:1 cr
I bought the Used Throttle bodies (45mm) complete with the injectors.
There is an intermittent sort of misfire when it happens the engine is reluctant to rev and feels flat.

I am About to upgrade to a 5.0L engine with TA heads. what size injectors do I need?
Cheers
