Hi Ian
do you have flow figures for the Jegs pump? it looks a proper piece of kit rather than some that seem more for show.
Best regards

Mike,

it's rated at 50 gallons a minute with a 6 amp draw. My current Proform is rated at 38gpm at 8A.

Cheers,

Ian

I have a Davies Craig water pump, some people love them, some hate. I wont know what it's like until the enigine is running, but if it ain't got enough beef then I'll be looking into those Jegs pumps, very nice.

The unfitted Jegs pump may be up for sale.

Have now decided that after moving the rad 4 inches forward that we have enough room to fit a rad cowl and a puller fan and keep the Proform. This was brought about by not having enough room in the weeny engine bay left to fit the Jegs. Boys like you lot with HUGE engine bays should have no trouble.

How big is the Jegs then? The MGB engine bay is smaller than a small thing, and my EWP is tucked right at the bottom of the rad, but also right next to the ARB, sop not ideal. How much do the Jegs ones go for, did you import it? cheers

You MGB boys have a Tardis of an engine bay compared to a Healey. I'll get some pics and measurements tomorrow.

Mike you're #2 in the list :D

I used a Davies Craig pump in my Morris hot rod. I did 5000+ miles on it without a problem.

I see the Boss Hoss V8 motorcycle uses a Jabsco remote water pump on their SBC and BBC models. This one is rated at 22gpm, but I guess they do bigger ones if you need it.
