MGB V8 Enginer Number

That would appear to be a P6 engine but with a compression ratio not used in the uk. How much needs doing to the engine? it would be probably more cost effective to look for a later better spec engine, even 3.9's are going fairly cheap on e-bay now and in basic tune will give plenty of performance ...
