Thanks, although as these are from the States I guess maybe the regular seals and Loctite . I;m surprised there is not a definitive solution as it seems to be a regular mod for guides.

I have read the above posts and tried the seals suggested by Darkspeed although the little spring clip seal retainers popped of a tad too easily for my liking. Somebody previously mentioned blue neoprene ones. Are these any better? As above, my guides have been machined so there is now no retention ...

I have a Kent vernier timing gear set ready to fit. Cost £140 not £200. I hope to be fitting later so will let you know how it goes.

Send him one of the TVR heads and I am sure he would be happy to do a flow comparison. More data can't do any harm. Those stage 3 heads look pretty on the face of it, but the figures do seem to suggest otherwise when it comes to the actual performance.

Ah, right thanks I will pursue that line of enquiry. I was a little disappointed that Real Steel were unable to offer much by way of suggestions. I had planned on opting for the Typhoon cam as per their pdf which states these HD single springs and yet they don't supply. Perhaps there is an equivalen...

They just seemed to vaguely suggest doubles and that was it.

Real Steel and V8 tuner dont do the single valve springs anymore, I have already asked. Hence the query. The bottom end alreadyhas ARP's. I did that a while back. The head was done by a mate, who has a flow bench so knows exactly how it performs against other heads as he has had various others of su...

Valve spring query

I am finally getting round to rebuilding my 3.9. It will have stage 2 heads, and I am looking at a typhoon cam. So off to buy some heavy duty valve springs and nobody seems to sell them now. I don't fancy the idea of machining for doubles, so as I am not likely to rev it to bits, would my existing s...

So a dishwasher will work for not very dirty head and front covers. And what about after? I was going to just blow them out with an air line and spray on WD40 down the guides and seats until the heads get rebuilt. Should this suffice? Cheers

Holley cable brackets?

Well I have finally fit my Holley 390 ( after doing a rebuild ) to my offy. Started within a few truns and idles nicely. However, as I have switched from SU's I am not sure what I need by way of brackets for the accelerator cable and return springs etc. Any help as to what I need and where to obtain...

Clutch head screwdrivers?

Does anyone know where I can get these in the UK? I am taking apart my Holley and the metering block is kept on by some of the screws. I can prob grind a flat head down but thought I would ask the questions first.
Cheers
