Ok - Earthed the Black & the Black/Grey and - success!

Why they had been cut is beyond me, I'm guessing they should have the ringlet on as I said before.

Thanks for your help Dave, will crack on and get it finished off now I know it runs!

Regards

Ok - no further forward - have the correct relays in place now. Dave I've noticed if I break the connection, i.e. remove the main relay, or break the main connector plug the Fuel relay clicks and get a split second burst from the fuel pump? Am I right in thinking that when I switch the ignition on, ...

Ordered 2 new relays part no. AFU2913L - they are different from the old Flapper aluminium ones I believe.

I'll let you know how I get on.

Dave - Do you know if they are the same as the flapper type relays?

I used 2 out of the Flapper system I had in my garage, one Silver one for main relay and a gold one for the Fuel pump?

I'm having to make up the whole fuel line - I did ask on another post what the general feeling was on using all rubber fuel line or a combination of metal/rubber? Take away costs and tooling required for making up metal lines is there any advantage in using them - manufacturers seemed to prefer it b...

Hi All

I've hopefully sourced an original piece of fuel line with the fitting on, will keep you posted over the next couple of weeks (I won't get it for a couple of weeks now).
Thanks to all who have contributed so far, it's really appreciated.

P - I'm not sure I'd get a thread gauge inside the union?
I can tell you the union is 9/16 across flats, and the thread looks quite fine?

Chris - thnaks for the picture - the filter looks to be pre-pump or am I being a bit dense?
If it is pre-pump - Does it work in that configuration without problems as Dave EFI suggests it needs to be gravity fed with a high flow rate?

Hi All, spent the best part of today trying to find a suitable after market male style connector to use on the feed inlet hose side of the fuel rail, so far without success, does anyone have any suggestions or know what size/style I should be looking for? If I remember correctly (I don't have the or...

Quagmire what did you use for fuel filter, is it the early EFI one with the push on inlet and outlets?
Also what did you use to connect to the fuel rail feed - mine has a union type fitting on the rail?

Thanks chaps - a quick search and I found these - http://www.fuelsystem.co.uk/Out-tank%20fuel%20injection%20pumps.pdf Dave - what about a Jaguar XJS pump, not sure if they are the same as the SD1 ones? Can you use a normal fuel filter as a pre-pump filter, or does it need to be a specific type? Fina...
