Ford racing used to sell a smallblock type T56. If you're going to make lotsa torque I wouldn't be using a T5. The other option is the Tremec 3550/TKO 500 or 600 but these are rotten things to shift and they have their fair share of problems when the power levels rise. You can see the bell for the T...

Thanks Chris,

Ah well I picked up the rangie today, test drove it and all was good.
Drove it 450k's home and the transfer is stuffed!? Looks like I'll have to do that first now.

Hi Chris,

You'd also need a trans ECU and harness to do this. Can you use HP24 parts inside the 22? That would be a good way to beef it up without going for the electronic control of the 24.

Thanks Lads, I could use an AODE/4R70W and adapt to the BW transfer(or use another Ford/BW transfer) but I was trying to keep the ZF in place. I'm led to believe the ZF can be built rather tough? Overfinch certainly did a SBC but used a T400. Here in Australia they use the ZFHP26 6spd auto behind ou...

Smallblock Ford into '93 range rover

Hello everyone,

Just joined up and was wondering if anyone has done such a conversion?
I want to use an EFI 351w and adapt it to the ZFHP22.
I've done much searching and can't seem to find any such adaptor/bellhousing.

Cheers!
