I bit more info would probably help ... Its monted next to the crankshaft pulley/damper on the rhs if you are facing the timing cover at about 4 oclock position. Its a little black sensor with one lead going off to a plug.

Crankshaft position sensor ?

Hi, I just managed to break what I think is probably a crankshaft position senor. Had a look on internet and can't seem to find a reference to it. Its off an '84 TVR 350i. The sensor is one lead (of three) out of a plug. Guess I have to buy sensor, plug etc. Any ideas what its called, where I can ge...

Thanks for the info, Had another look today and there clearly isnt enough room. I know others swear by these. I'll have to check I've got the right parts. With the valve lift I have there really isnt a lot of clearence between the spring cap(?) and the guide at full lift, may be 1.5 mm... so what ev...

Manta valve stem oil seals.

Gents, Purchased some of these to fit on my early heads ... wasn't sure if it would work but thought I would give it a go. If you've not seen them they are metal on the outside with a rubber inner. They fit on the guides okish but I had to 'pursuade' them damaging them slightly in the proces, I thin...

Spigot bush

Hi all. Upgrading my TVR 350i with a 3.9 engine. In the process I've aquired an extra two cranks. One from the short block I purchased and one I got spare with some pistons I bought. The short block crank is worn, the spare one with pistons is spot on. Went to put in a new spigot bearing before gett...

Thanks for the replies, makes things eaiser to bolt straight on.
Good call Dennis, I had purchased a new spigot bush for a 3.9 manual and as you say it is a different size to the one in the end of the crank... if only it would come out, sure it will eventually.

BBT.

trumpet base and piston qustions.

Hi all, Got a couple of questions I hope you can help with. Slowly getting thing together with my rebuild and have noticed that the trumpet base has probably been played with. Reason I say this is all the trumpets are numbered, scratched on the side of the trumpets and one of the trumpets is not ful...
