V8 Development pistons

Hi all, does anyone know what make pistons V8 developments uses in the 5.3 engines? The ones we have removed are half doughnut shape crowns, slipper style with total seal rings but no name on 'em.

Thanks in advance

Hi Wotland

I forgot to add, you made a mistake saying COLISBRO, I wish I got a £ everytime I heard it, then I wouldn't have to rob employees/family. You mean COLSIBRO which is.....wait for it....Columbia Metals Silicon Bronze, hence COLSIBRO.

I am sorry to have to say I do not charge Keith for rolling road time, I never charge people that work with me, especially as keith is my stepson. I do get to read some weird things said about me, my pricing and the way I do things! As for discounts....come and see me and you will find out Yours, th...

Hi Alan Exactly what we were thinking....it would be worthwhile for sprinters/hillclimbers/drag racers to get the thinnest oil that would be safe in the transmission and engine. The other thoughts are warming things up first, I understand some emergency service vehicles a have plug in heaters to kee...

Hiya The Econotune heads usually gain at least 30 bhp at max bhp rpm, above that rpm the increase is even more as standard heads are so restrictive. The power increase is from flow improvements and from increase in CR. To be honest the factory could have done this with better forethought. I do belie...

Forum Dyno day

Once I get the hang of the new rollers....when they arrive, that is ....I will sort a price for you. I do not do weekends though out of respect for my neighbours.

Don't leave it too long if anyone wants to check the old rollers with a view to purchasing them.

Old Rolling Road

Hi Chris We will sell it direct from here, not bothered with ebay, we are wanting £2500 plus the dreaded for the rollers or some sort of deal can be arranged. We would like to spend time on the rollers with whoever buys it so we can pass on a little help and make sure they are comfortable with it. J...

TR7 Factory car

We have played with the flatplane crank 3.5 TR7 motors, they are totally different from 'normal' engines, extremely fast revving and full race so maybe not in the same league for the maths, sad thing is the blocks split after a while! The SD1 Vitesse race engines were physically bigger (around 1.4&q...

dynos and flow benches

Hi All Been talking with my mucker Dave who does the reasearch and books with me, maybe we should all be quoting percentage change with flow benches rather than 'absolute' figures? I agree with you about rolling roads Poah, I run an Old Clayton water brake. I get analogue readings and don't do print...

Just worked out what you were talking about! Everytime I look at your heads (next to where I cut the seats) I think to myself.....must get those seats in for you ....one day I will do them and shock you :)
