Which RV8 choose?

I can buy defender 3.5 engine, but 130hp is not much i think .Which way would be better/cheaper? Skimming the heads to make them about 9.75:1CR / Bolt the range rover 3.9 heads / or just forget about 3.5 and get 3.9 with guaranteed 180 hp. Other ideas? In my region sources of parts are only defender...

supra, hilux, rover boxes have prices like they were made from gold. thats why i am considering sierra scorpio boxes, i found in other discussions that mt75 can take 250+ hp and now i'm double confused why is it crap.

mt75 or type 9

Which one would better work with 3.5 rover v8? I know that some type 9 was heavy duty with 3,36:1 first gear ratio, mt75 first gear ratio can be 3,61 and they are very easy to find in opposite to HD type9. What should I choose?

I have an additional question. Is it possible to remove input shaft from gearbox through front (I mean bellhousing side) of it?

i guess that flywheel and clutch need change too, and this is propably more expensive option (for me). I can afford only budget solutions.
