Not done anything about inlet air temps yet, but I have been trying to fix an issue with the power steering as it's too heavy. The bracket the hold power steering pump doubles up as a torque arm to try and stop engine twisting. I've already made one new bracket to take a120 bar BMW pump as opposed t...
My son is looking at selling a Rover V8 engine that will need a strip and check over as it has been sat for a very long time. It has covered 38000 miles since being built in the early 1990's Made 333 bhp at the flywheel and 288 at the wheels on Oselli dyno. It's a really good spec engine that will n...
Bonnet is closer at the front than the back, stuck in traffic the inlet air temp can easily get up to 65 degrees C  bonnet clearance.jpg I watched this the other day and a variation on the theme could be a solution to the intake heat, not sure what would happen if it got caught out in a rain ...
Finally got it to a point where it could be mapped and with with mixed results. Made 503 bhp with the bonnet up and lost 46bhp with it down! Dave walker said it could be the bonnet reflecting the pulses from the throttle bodies but it does suffer from very high inlet air temperature. I've got hold o...
After struggling with making headers for the last engine I cheated and had the whole system made by a lad local to me who is much better at this sort of thing, all I did was make the flanges to match my cylinder heads at work.
That does all look very nice. How is it running? It's trying my patience, the Jag diff keeps spewing oil out of the breather on the diff cover I made and I've been trying to fix it since January :( Had it trailered to Emerald for mapping and only got to 1/3rd throttle mapping and it made a right me...
