Tyres - what to do?
To try to improve my 1/4 mile times this year I'd like something a little grippier on the back end. I'm restricted to 7" wide 15" diameter wheels and currently run 205-65-15 BF Goodrich tyres. I can probably take up to 215 wide.
I've been on to Hoosier for their drag radials and they want £156 each + Vat. Mickey Thompson wants more plus a kidney.
Any recommendations on track tyres please?

BFG drag radials for me at the track,
only run 205x50x15's on the rear on track days as they didnt have a 16" tyre in the size we wanted...

They also sponsor loads of circuit sponsorship / classes need to run them so would be good. Also do up to V Rating

I searched on Black Circles for the size I wantedkev_the_mole wrote:I'm doing the Moonlight Sprints in Jersey in June. They're MSA regs but Modifieds are free on tyres. What sort of track ? and do they have to be road legal ?
Tone : Where did you buy the BFG'S?
Ian : Where did you buy the Toyo's?

Put in postcode and they suggested about 5 fitting people in the area and then I called each to confirm price and delivery - picked the cheapest (who also happened to be the closest)
Or look at Kumho tyres - I believe they also offer the - locate dealer service
And yes they say my rears are 4x4 tyres but in my opinion out perform the BFG's I had on every level - grip, noise, holding air etc.
