Hi,
I just managed to break what I think is probably a crankshaft position senor. Had a look on internet and can't seem to find a reference to it.
Its off an '84 TVR 350i.
The sensor is one lead (of three) out of a plug. Guess I have to buy sensor, plug etc.
Any ideas what its called, where I can get one from?
Thanks,
BBT.

I bit more info would probably help ... Its monted next to the crankshaft pulley/damper on the rhs if you are facing the timing cover at about 4 oclock position. Its a little black sensor with one lead going off to a plug.

Thanks Ged, I tried Rimmers and clearly didn't look hard enough. That's the part... £100, why didn't I leave alone ... Thanks Bob.

No CPS on the flapper EFI - the ignition is all done by the dizzy. What that is a diagnostic device for checking ignition timing, but I've never known anyone use it. Just as easy to use a timing light. So unless you're keen on the engine looking original, just remove it and throw it away - it has no function as regards the running of the engine.

Thanks Dave, if that's right I'll leave it.
