Post by oilyfingers »

Joined a peugeot forum last saturday to ask questions regarding timing. What a useless lot they are, not a single reply! Luckily i,ve got a few friends i called on to gain the info i needed.

I joined a VW forum and an Audi/VW forum to get some answers to a Polo I bought to repair and completely useless! Unless I wanted to know how to fit angel eye headlights or a sub there was no chance! Asked about 4 questions in total not a single answer.

Maybe what makes this forum so great is most people into V8's have an engineering type background or at least an interest in it- which means common sense usually prevails, and with common sense you can use educated guessing if not sure!!

Much better than a load of chavs who cant figure out how to change a broken side light bulb without 20 peoples input

I could,nt have answered that any better if i'd tried! Thats the impression i got, but most posts on there had 1 or no replies. Luckily the forktruck mechanic had a laptop with autodata with some info & i found some in a 405 manual that refered to the 2L engine.

I thought they were like carriages- you put people in them and tow them with a suitable vehicle?!

There were about 5 of the said shopping carts in macdonalds this evening with the young children sat in them. They weren't doing anything though, their mother's weren't there to push them.

thats why i quite like Hybridz for my nissan stuff, the main folks over their are deep into modifying their Z cars, and a judacious usage of the search button has pretty much everything you will ever need on stuffing ANY sort of motor into a Fairlady Z. :D
