They're mounted on JE manifolds, going to fit some filters but I need to modify my bonnet first to fit them intopcatproduction wrote:Are they mounted on weber manifolds? They look like webers without the guts too! So any plans to put some filters on the tops or is the engine going to be like a big leaf sucker?!!!!

The coilpacks took ages to do because I fitted the manifolds first before I realised I could fit the coilpacks in there, then I found out that the vacuum lines were approx 2mm too low so ended up cutting the coilpacks and the plug leads downian.stewart wrote:I WANT THOSE RAM PIPES!!!!!![]()

Those manifolds look like TVR Racecar/JE ones to me, very similar to the ones I use,
I did away with the vacuum lines as mine were only goint to my fuel reg and as its not a rising rate system, they got deleted,
how did you get your coilpacks in there, it took a week of faffing about to get mine to fit, and they are still VERY tight in position,
yes, I use the vacuum lines for my brake servo takeoff and for the MAP sensor on the megasquirtspend wrote:Don't they also act as balance pipes? That sounds like fun, what are you doing about filters?mjheathcote wrote:That looks great.
I'm using gsxr throttle bodies on my Triumph Stag V8 so quite similair.
Not sure of the size, sorry but it's approx 6mm plastic hard pipe. They are all joined together into a vacuum canister, I use it for the brake take off and map sensor.mjheathcote wrote:What size connections are you using for the vacuum take off on each throttle body, and it looks like you have joined them all together in the same size nylon pipe? I ask because I am interested whether the size is suitable to provide sufficient vacuum for the brake servo.
I've tried tuning with both TPS and MAP based systems. Had good results from both but am probably sticking to MAP as I feel it gives me better control. There is poor vacuum at idle but it's good enough! Fortunately with the Megasquirt it's only a few keystrokes and I can change from TPS to MAP and back again if I want tomjheathcote wrote:Also are you using MAP sensor only or also throttle position as well? I understand that using MAP sensor on such arrangements with multiple throttle bodies does not work too well?
Thanks,
Mike
can you post any pics of your manifold? i'm using gsxr tb's on my 302 as soon as i can get an inlet manifold fabricated. it was easy on a 4 pot, but i'm new to all this v8 stuff!mjheathcote wrote:That looks great.

I have no pictures of the manifolds off the car but I'll try and take some of them on the car this afternoon.glen wrote: can you post any pics of your manifold? i'm using gsxr tb's on my 302 as soon as i can get an inlet manifold fabricated. it was easy on a 4 pot, but i'm new to all this v8 stuff!
