aftermarket ecu

Post by Seight-V8 »

hiya all,

Just playing around with a few ideas on the aftermarket ecu to run my newly built engine.

What would i need to do to convert a GEMS efi engine to a VEMS ecu?

Could i use all the standard sensors and coil pack?

Hoping this would be possibly be a good solution, as i orginally planned to run the GEMS in my westfield, but its just to expensive/complicated to sort out.

All standard sensors on the GEMS v8 should work with VEMS. The coils also work. You can remove the airflow sensor since it isn't needed.

You will need to add a wideband lambda sensor because I think GEMS uses narrowband (I could be wrong here) and an air temperature sensor.
