What did you do them up to in the end Tony? I have ARP's too and want to put the flywheel on soon...

I'd say use the stock settings of 60 lbs/ft.

ARP flywheel bolts with ARP moly assembly lubircant 62 Ft/lbs. You not too far out however if you did not use the arp moly lubricant they recommend then it makes a difference, they do give different torque figures for different grades of oil as well!

60/70 will hardly make much odds. They're a big bolt.

Wonder what the torque spec is with thread lock then lol

Do not use thread lock with ARPs.

That makes no sense. Some arrangements dictate that a thread lock or sealant must be used...such as the LSx platform, as the bolt holes go right through to the crankcase void.

And Ive used thread lock many times. It just says to torque to spec before it dries.

I meant ARPs for flywheel. The flywheel bolts are captive and thread lock should not be used in this application.

Anyway I am lead to believe that if a fastner is torqued up correctly then you do not need theadlock. what did they do in the days before it. I know it is a safety net.
