Hi all, Ive got myself a V8 trike and Im slowly getting my head around it.. I was wondering if anyone could identify the strange inlet manifold I have which mounts the 4 webber carbs..? Would I need to know this so l could source the proper gaskets, or is it likely the the standard gasket set-up would be fine..? Please excuse the mad wiring...its on my list to do..

The inlet manifold gasket will be a standard rover V8 jobby, it also forms the vally cover. There are two types for the 3.5, one is a simple piece of embossed ally, good if the heads and block are pretty standard and line up properly, there is a later composite version that seals up a block after a skim or two, however it can stick to the gasket surfaces and be a pain.
I think someone on here has that manifold on a stag, I think it may have been designed for the stag with a rover in it, not sure though. Nice looking piece of kit though.
I got a wireing loom for my Kit car from Premier wiring ( premierwiring.co.uk) they were very helpfull and a custom loom was £120, the result is very tidy.

are the gaskets/valley covers the same for bigger models of engine..? What section would be better to try to contact the Stag owner..? I'll take a look at those looms..didnt realise you can buy custom looms... I was getting ready for a mad weekend with lots of solder and tape and a BIG headache

Alan at Premier wiring is excellent, he moved his business up to East Calder near Edinburgh a while back, which is handy for me as I'm in Edinburgh.

I'm buying one of his looms in January for the spitfire with a few extras for a battery isolator switch, fuel pump cut off switch, rear mounted battery and few other bits and bobs.

I went over to his unit to see what he does and how he makes up looms, he does good work and will save you a fortune in time and parts. He does lights horns, coils etc also.

He is shut until the 7th of January I think he said.
