Hi Guys,
how many different throttle assemblies are there for the TVR/RV8?
now the plenum has been turned around the bracket assembly I currently have is way to long,
and instead of cutting it up and having to get it replated and trying to get this to work if there is a shorter one out there I would try that,

was just about to put the grinder through it lol,
will get a pic later today Eliot,
basiclly it comes out to far and is in the way of the plenum elbow now the plenum has been turned around,
been told TVR etc use a very stumpy setup with mounting bracket etc,

I'll have a look in my bag of bits - cant find any decent photos of the tvr ones, despite modding a few in my time.

Is that a special? Seems strange to have the throttle cable exiting to the nearside. In the UK, at least.
An SD1 type would be, I'd say, much neater than that.

the plenum has been turned around so that the plenum intake is now on the drivers side

you are in luck, i have one or two brackets...
Although now looking through my manifold archive, i have a feeling its off a Gems plenum...
..But just been back out into the garage and tried it on a hotwire plenum and it fits...
So you can have that one or a std one to cut up or just cut yours up knowing I have a few here that I i'll keep aside for you.
And the wife nags me for collecting so much stuff....

Sorry.
The SD1 has the cable part (throttle and auto) fixed to the back of the cylinder head and a rod linkage from that to the plenum.
So doesn't stick out past the plenum air entry.

I just cut my bracket down, very easy and much neater. Then added a cam from a K-series throttle body to give it a more linear throttle action.
