Got a threaded hole on my inlet manifold, to the left of the thermostat housing and facing the front of the engine. Can anyone enlighten me as to what it's for? I was thinking maybe electric fan thermo switch, can it be blocked of?

Temperature transmitter.

It looks like it goes straight into the inlet port so it will be for a vacuum take off for say a brake servo.

I think it's for the brake servo too.

My mistake, but from the description thought he meant the one as above. The one on the top of the manifold is indeed for the servo spigot.

No its not!!
Its in the inlet runner. Its the vac take off for the brake servo.
The item to the right is the otter switch in the waterway for the rad fan.

The one on the top next to the Otter switch is for the servo, the one on the front next to the thermostat housing (which was the one the original question was asked about) is for the temp guage sender unit. The Otter switch isn't for fan control, it's for a choke warning light.

Hopefully this will save confusion as to what hole it is, I'm sure it's a waterway.

I think the confusion was due to the fact that there is an unpainted threaded hole in the first photograph which is not the one in question.
The hole in question is facing forward and is in the waterway and is for the temperature gauge transmitter.
The one on top of the manifold is for the servo take off and I believe a non return valve screws into it on some models.
