So the swap from 4 barrel carb & Merlin heads to 8 stack Jernvey's & TA heads is at least worth 40bhp. Twice the carb & TA heads basically.

Makes me wonder how much worth where the TA heads alone over the Merlin heads, is it worth the investment.

Or is it twice the fuelling ( 8 stack versus 4 barrel carb ) and better fuel/ignition management that makes the bhp.

Btw great results so far Image Image

yes sorry had a busy night.

429bhp @6500 rpm. Haven't seen the printout yet. They still have cold start and warmup settings to finish.

It makes more at the wheels now than it made at the flywheel before.

Cant wait to drive it.

Be interesting to see some curves. Would help decide what is the best value for a road car?

Thats 29 more than my car and I have a 6.3L Chevy engine, just shows how lowly stressed the big American engines are.

That is going to be a seriously quick bit of kit once you get it dialled in.

I will post the dyno sheet when I have it.
been told that it is quite cammy and really takes off at the top end.
retains similar mid range torque but lost a bit at the bottom.

Restricting factors might be 45mm throttle bodies and 2.5 inch exhaust system.

I think that is enough power for such a small light car. (for now).
