I currently have 205 50 15
looking at going up to a 16" rim next year so something around 225/235 50/60 16
15" would be a more common size for radials and slicks, so you may want to retain it.

You can get 225/50x16's in some brands, but most of the 16's tend to be 245 or 255.
So bare that in mind.

Less common sizes tend to cost more money

Clive over on 22b.com had some for sale a while back, not sure if he still has them.
Last pair of 255/50x16's I bought cost me over £500

With that air filter there you want to lift the bonnet mate to make an old skool cowl induction.

All the engine heat & rad heat vents to the back where it centre's before it decides to go down and leave the engine bay by the floorpan & transmission tunnel.

Just raise the back of the bonnet till between ½"to 1" and you create a cold air induction the way it pressure rises your heater system also.
It works. Nobody on the street gets it these days and have no clue why that bonnet is not aligned up...
But people on the street wont understand that blower whine too and will think your tranny is gone by the noise... ( that's what most people think hearing my Capri at the traffic lights...)

The way your air filter situated now will designedly create heat soak in traffic jams.

Or make a hole in your inner wing and position your filter between inner & front wing just in front of your wheel.

yeah we know the filter maybe an issue there, but if you read the previous post, is only a temp thing mate until we can get the car to the workshop to make either the airbox in the wing or make up the pipework and put the filter down near the front vent on the inner wing,
the bonnet had already been lifted on the back

Just dump the re-circ down low somewhere. It will always be blowing air out, so you dont need to worry about that.
And it will keep the noise out of the way too.

I'd say even 7psi is bound to feel good !! just make sure fuel and timing are safe.

I remember the first time I put the blower onto my standard LS1. The standard engine felt great, but first time out with the blower felt fantastic.

Which today would probably be very tame lol You get used to it quickly.

oooops just had an email back from Phil,
he has gone over the datalog I took this evening and she hit 8psi of boost (150kpa) and it was under 5k rpm
I thought it was meant to be geared to 8psi at 6k, at this rate its going to be 10psi at 6k

Hi Tony
gearing and VE effect the boost pressure the lower the VE the higher the boost. . . 10 psi at 6k revs and a VE of 80% should still be thoroughly save, as Stevie says just keep an eye on the AFR and timing.
Best regards
Mike

Tony

For the recirc valve just mount it on the elbow fixed to the charger outlet. It's a short run then to the intake side.

If you look at my setup you'll see it mounted that way
