Sorry to hear it Tony, will turn out to be something simple. It is normally about now when people stop bragging about injection! Wait til you get your ecu back it will hopefully fire straight up.

M112/3? Or are you thinking twin screw or centrifugal?

"real need to get the car running before i go buying more bits"

Tony really wash your mouth out immediatly, what sort or grown up talk is that, no more of it on this forum please, there are seriously immature V8 fans reading this and we don't want to upset them with silly talk do we?

your gona get me in to trouble Mike
the wife said not allowed to buy anymore bits until the car is running and every thing with the new engine etc is ok,
She didn't say anything about looking though,

all joking aside, i am looking to go the supercharged route, and maybe ditch the Nos, or squirt a smaller amount with the charger

that was one of the reason hunting down the serp front end as driving the charger would be a bit easier with poly vee belt.
thus my other post in forced asking what ribs variants do the pulleys come in

i have my eye on an intercooler at present, and by moving the rad another 40mm towards the engine it will open up enough room just to squeeze it between the front grill and the rad,
Jago (montyman) is bringing his centrifugal charger over when he has finished my ecu to see what room i have on the passengers side to fit one. 8)

Thats better talk Tony :D , now if you are going centrifugal and a nice big healthy intercooler then I would keep the NOs to get you away while the boost is building through the gears. You have probably already realised this, but this type of blower delivers boost in a non linear fassion, if you set it up for say 12lb boost at 6k revs it only makes 3lb at 3k revs, handy if you are trying to avoid detonation at peak torque (where you normally get it) and good for making the engine produce power where the normally aspirated version would be dropping off but can leave you wanting in the mid range a bit. This charictoristic is one reason they are so popular in the US for bolt on aftermarket kits where they don't want to change the CR. If you set up the NOs controler to blead off the gas as boost rises then you should be able to shape the torque curve to what you want and still avoid detonation.

Good news on the ecu front,
Dave thinks he has sussed it, was a ressistor on the board that should of been removed when converting from Hall to VR trigger.

he is doing a few more tests etc before he lets me have it back,
nice one mate. 8)

Funnily enough Coops!
I'm at the Pod with Derek on the 1st November for RWYB. Although the MG might be in bits. So I'm thinking of running the MR2 instead.

You mean we can't run it in at your house? :(
I'm disappointed! ;)

Mind you, some of my neighbours don't exactly like me...

It's still working. I ran a 5 minute test pattern 5 times last night. No trigger errors and no glitches. I'm going to get adventurous and try a new firmware on my ECU tonight.
