You can quite safely stub cigeretts out in a puddle of petrol, done it loads of times.

First time I saw that it was a drip tray with 110 octane Avgas in it, I nearly proved that adrenaline is brown....

Yup it is a fun trick to do if people don't know about it.
I have the greatest respect for the stuff (believe it or not) because I have seen friends hurt who did not understand about petrol vapour and how it behaves and how different fuel/air ratios react.
