For information, any rockers that fit a Buick 215,300 or 340 engine should fit a Rover head but do check carefully.

I've yet to decide what I'm going to use on the new engine re rocker gear. I'm trying to build this engine on a tight budget, so far so good have now got the crank, rods, pistons and the Crower 50232 cam and crane high rev lifters have just arrived at a total cost of approx £800.00, just like Christmas all over again!

Please let us know what they quote for the roller rockers.

Emailed quite a few companys in USA and Australia. As yet no replys.
From what I have read the Harland Sharp roller rockers are only in a 1.55:1 ratio which is not ideal.
Will post prices.

I think std rover rockers also has got 1,5 or max 1,6 ratio..
If you have 7,5mm cam lift and 1,55 ratio that would mean 11.625mm valve lift, and if you have got 1,6 ratio, then 7,5m= 12mm valve lift.. different is 0,375mm
And can you be 100% sure that Yella Terra has got 1,6 ratio as they say..
I say. Use cheaper roller rockers and buy a wilder cam..

In my case if yella terras cost over 419£ + carriage to Finland aprox 30£ total is ~450£ witch is huge difference vs harland sharps 292£.. Near 157£. Witch is near performance cam price..
But this is my opinion..

And i think harland sharp rockers is slightly better than std alloy or steel rockers?

well Im getting really frustrated.
None of the Yella Terra dealers even bothered to reply to my enquiry.
Did make contact with a guy from Harland Sharp who said they could make some 1.6:1 ratio rockers @ $30 each. he is getting a price for shipping and some special pushrods.

I bought a set of Yella Terras late last year for $850 Australian, from AmericanAutos.com.au.

The cost was pretty similar to V8 Tuner's (ex VAT) but shipping would have been expensive (it always is ex-UK). My advice would be to phone suppliers rather than email them, as emails can be ignored or overlooked far more easily than a customer on the phone.

MG bloke, did you try Internal engine parts? If you didnt then give this a go. I will double check that but im sure its the correct e-mail.

yes afraid you will, you should also check the geometry, the sweep of the roller across the end of the valve.

I did email internal engine parts before but having Dons name certainly made things easy.
$550 inc shipping. Wonder how much duty Ill have to pay on top?
All in I think ill pay around £370 ish thats adding on roughly a third for tax and VAT.

Duty is not consistant but the most I have paid so far is 5% Vat is 17.5% so it should be about £350 ish you may get hit for an additional handling charge by the courier (how this is legal I don't know as they are already paid to deliver it to you but.....)

Do the Yella terra rockers supply oil to the top of the pushrods like the standard rockers?
If not Real Steel sell Pushrods with oil holes that need cutting to length before the ends are pressed on. part No. AZ500 5/16 dia shaft.
Pushrod holes in heads are 12mm is that large enough?
With a bit of luck I could get the geometry right.
Anyone got any hints.
