Which cam to use?

I'm still tweaking with my gearshifts. I know my 3 speed box loses around 700 rpm un an upshift. I know my engine seems to produce max torque at around 4700 rpm. So I set my shift light at 5200rpm to drop me back just under peak torque for the next shove up the track. Not sure if this is the best way to do it, but it seems to work so far.
