Update....

The day after it wouldnt turn over, her dad tried it and it did turn over and was running, badly

I am getting half a tale from her so dont know exactly what the guy has done to it

Ok, the bloke she took it to to have a look at it changed the coil pack for a second hand one, no difference. Two spark plugs were completely burned away.

He then checked the cam timing. God knows why because thats not likely to have changed. His theory was that it had slipped (She has been through some water a few days before) Dont find this very likely. And don't think it would have caused these symptoms.

Then it seems, he has put it back together and worked fine. She said he took off the ancillary belt and it suddenly started working fine. And had it running for ages, perfectly.

God knows what he has done then. Seems to have done absolutely sod all, so am expecting it to die again.
