Countersink those two bolts instead of Allen keys.

I have a catalogue coming next week of all the ribbed and smooth idler pulleys available on cars in the uk,
so maybe able to come up with a slightly smaller smooth pulley which will give me a little more scope using a ribbed pulley too,
will also try the larger charger pulley tomorrow to see if that gives better clearance as that is the pulley we more likely be using to allow the charger to be not over reved at 7k,

there is the option of possibly changing a couple of the bolts to countersunk ones if needed but until I can get hold of a few pulleys to play with I'm a little stuck lol

I'd say there are very few passenger cars using an 8 rib belt.

As the ebay link shows, probably more common on big engines, whether lorries, plant, whatever

The same link also gives part numbers, for Gates and other suppliers which you could search. But it wasnt expensive even from Latvia or wherever it was listed for an 8 rib idler.

Always room for one somehow.

Although you could try it as is, you'd know soon enough if it is going to cause problems

after a bit of shopping around and a few let downs I now have a few selections of 7 and 8 rib pulleys coming for the charger belt,
BUT due to the xmas postal its looking unlikely I will get them until after crimbo now,

Also the pushrods are on the way from the USA but these too are being delayed due to the xmas post,
:(

A little update
Push rods have arrived. And fit a treat

Ordered a ribbed pulley from the USA as the UK is useless
And fitted it along with countersunk bolts behind the belt route.

And the new clutch is here. Just waiting on the new cover plate bolts to arrive. The Flywheel can go off for facing and redrilling then balancing again.

Not much is happening in the man cave at the moment,

god motor factors are a pain now to deal with,
trying to source a 7PK 2187 belt is a right pain in the arse, all they keep asking is year and reg, once you say its for a one off installation the reply, sorry can't help you without a registration number,
gone are the days of flicking through a paper catalogue looking for said parts,
www.v8performanceparts.co.uk may have sourced one but are waiting on a delivery,

The flywheel and clutch are away at present being faced, redrilled to take the RST clutch then rebalanced,

I now have a few measurements to work with to try and see if the release bearing carrier needs machining to clear the RST clutch, and if we have the correct travel on the release bearing as not to damage the pressure plate,
handy thing a cable clutch conversion just change the pivot arm point in relation to pedal v release bearing travel if needed lol,

ERRRR that's about it at the moment,

EBay always easy for belts.

Beeline is another seller. Eriks, or Hayley bearings.

You may need to be flexible a few mm with dimensions.
