There are a few post on here like this, you may want to have a search for them. Basically the few companies doing the conversion stopped because the box really isn't strong enough for the torque of even a stock 3.5. If you upgrade the gearsets and all that then sure but that's expensive. Far better to just get an R380 or even good LT77 to start with. Conversions were made a while back though so if you can wait it out one might show up eventually or create your own out of an auto bell housing, plate and some welding. It really is the wrong box though.

TVR RV8 as standard is a T5 so you can get a bell housing and box that way ... assuming it will fit.

(Magnum disappeared some years ago as I was going that way once.)
Richard.
Dax Rush 5.0l TVR V8, EFI with Megasquirt ECU and wasted spark, Racelogic Traction Control and Quaife LSD ....... Now nut and bolt restoring a TR6

In the case of Borg Warner Single Rail and Ford Type 9 gearboxes, do these transmissions have the same bellhousing to case bolt pattern? I guess this is mostly for the Brits and Aussies.

The bellhousing for the P76 V8 looks like a close match for the Ford Type 9. It's nearly 8" deep.

As we say "pot luck".
